The Tennessee Radio Hall of Fame was created in 2012
to honor all of the broadcasters who have contributed their talents over the years to creating our state's rich radio history.
At the behest of John Long, creator of the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame, Lee Dorman gathered many of his friends and fellow
broadcasters, and began the process of organizing the Hall of Fame. Over the next year, they worked to get everything in place,
and organize the First Annual Hall of Fame Banquet and Induction, to honor and identify a group of people whom they nominated,
and members voted for, to make up the first class of inductees. Now,
every May, another group is elected and honored, and the prestige of being a member of Tennessee's radio community is renewed.
